Description of Work

We work with COCREF, an organization of 21 Christian schools in the poorer areas of the country. With a staff of over 200 and an enrollment of almost 5,000, COCREF is nurturing, training, and transforming thousands of children's lives. We work with a team of six Dominican supervisors who oversee the administrative and educational development of the schools. Our work focuses on assisting them in goal-setting, budget planning, increased educational development, and promotion.

Some Recent Successes:

Two more high schools have been added. There are now 5 high schools, along with the 21 elementary schools.

The first 8th grade graduation of a D school was held this year (D schools are located in the very poorest areas and often only go as far as 4th or 5th grade. It was a wonderful blessing to watch 17 students graduate from an area where the parents never thought it possible that their children would receive any kind of education there.)

Two schools now have a computer lab!

That the supervisory team, the staff, and we will be able to meet the many challenges faced with wisdom, strength, forgiveness, passion, perseverance, and joy.

That the financial needs of COCREF will be met.

That the Lord will guide us in the process of replacing one of the supervisors who recently retired.
